2018 Enhancement Appeal Student Life

Socialising, relaxing and making new friends within the international community of Box Hill School has always been an important part of student life. Strong and important friendships and experiences are forged during our student’s ‘down-time’. We aim to provide the space and opportunity for them to relax and informally interact with each other. Currently our students don’t have a dedicated communal area not linked to Houses to gather after or between lesson time with their friends from other year groups and other Houses. We would like to create a well equipped social space with comfortable seating, wifi access and fresh beverage making machines. A place where students can meet together, play music, talk about their days, strengthen established friendships and make new ones.

This will also incorporate a new Tuck Shop for the whole school to replace the Village Shop which has recently closed.

The new Box Tree Café, as it will be known will be located in the Old Stable Block which is an area, soon to be vacated by the relocation of the multigym to the new Sports Centre.

"Even after 30 years, so many of us have such fond memories and friendships that are still ongoing."
