Junior English programme

FEATURES:

An intensive programme of English studies designed to prepare students for entry into mainstream schooling.

  • Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology combined)

  • Geography
  • Information Communication Technology (ICT)
    to ensure the development of effective IT skills and keyboard work

IN ADDITION:

All courses are taught by subject specialists in small classes (8-10 students)

QUALIFICATIONS GAINED:

Cambridge PET exam

SUPPORT:

Students have their own personal tutor and receive:

  • Weekly tutorials in study skills
  • Monthly grades in all subjects (sent to parents, guardians and agents)
  • Monthly targets

REPORTING:

Progress reports are emailed every month to parents, guardians and agents. Full reports are written at the end of every term. Reports are made available online for easy access

REQUIREMENTS:

Pre-intermediate level English and aged 11-14 at entry.

Students are fully integrated into the life of the school; living in school boarding houses, participating in junior sports and activity programmes and taking part in school cultural trips. They also have the opportunity for music and drama tuition.
