Overseas pupils at Box Hill School

A THRIVING COMMUNITY

Box Hill School has a thriving overseas community of boarders from over 35 different countries. Around 35% of our pupils are overseas boarders. This means that, unlike at some boarding schools, our boarding community are at school over the weekend, which allows for plenty of activities and a vibrant social life.

There are arranged activities every single weekend, mostly on a Sunday, whilst Saturdays allow students to quietly study, before enjoying the grounds or going to one of the local towns. (See our Boarding and Pastoral pages for more details).

Because we have such a wide range of nationalities represented at Box Hill School, it means no single nationality dominates, which also means the 'lingua franca' is English.

THE INTERNATIONAL STUDY CENTRE

We have a wide range of courses available to our overseas students, from Year 7 entry up to Sixth Form entry for either IB or A level. Find out more on our ISC pages, here.
