Logging In
To log into this website, please use your BHS4Parents details. You can obtain these directly from www.boxhillschool.com/parents, or by contacting the Box Hill School webmaster.

If more than one family member is registered with your account, you will have an opportunity to select which family member you are.

If your details are incorrect or do not appear, please contact the School directly.

Admin
To use the Admin option, you must be a member of the BHSA Committee. When you log into the site, the website will automatically attempt to determine whether or not you are a committee member. If successful, you will be notified. If you are a member of the committee and the site does not detect this, please contact the School webmaster.

Notices
Any member of the BHSA (regardless of whether or not they are members of the committee) can post notices. To do so, go to the Notices Page and select "Add". You can use the HTML formatting codes listed to fomat your notice.

When adding notices, you can also amend or delete notices you have previously added.

Please note that each notice has an Expiry Date. Notices will automatically be removed from public view the day after this expiry date (by default, notices automatically expire after one day).

Forum
Site members can participate in the forum. You can either start a new topic, or respond to an existing topic by selecting the topic title and clicking "Post a reply".

Whilst the forum is not actively moderated, please note that Box Hill School reserves the right to remove any posts/topics it considers to be unsuitable.

The BHSA and Box Hill School provide the forum as a service, and the views expressed within the forum do not necessarily reflect those of the BHSA or Box Hill School.

Friday Teas
All parents of Box Hill School students are welcome to enjoy tea at the School on Friday afternoons (please visit the relevant page for more information). The BHSA would like parents to volunteer to either donate a cake or serve tea. If you would like to volunteer, you can do so by clicking on the relevant link on the Friday Teas page.

Using the Calendar, click on the particular friday that you would like to volunteer for. You will then be able to see what volunteers are required for that particular day. Using the drop-down list, select which activity you would like to volunteer for, ensure a contact number is entered, and click submit.

Your name should then be entered in the table underneath. Note that your telephone number is not displayed. You can remove your name from the table by clicking on the red X next to the relevant entry.

Cookies and your Privacy
The site uses temporary 'session' variables to record your log-in details. These are automatically cleared after 20 minutes of inactivity (meaning you will need to log in again) or when the browser is closed.

If you use the "Remember me" option when logging in, a small cookie will be placed on your computer so that you are not repeatedly prompted for your login details. You may need to allow cookies for this feature to work.

When the two week period is up the cookie is deleted from your computer. You can delete this cookie at any time by selecting "Log Out" from the Home Page.

This website uses data stored within the Box Hill School main database, and this data is not made available to the BHSA committee or other members. Only your name, primary email address (for committee members and year reps) and main telephone number are pulled from the database for the use of this website. They may be temporarily stored within a cookie on your computer, which can be deleted at any time by clicking "Log Out" on the home page, or automatically after 2 weeks.
