Box Hill School is an exciting, dynamic and progressive environment for students who want the opportunity to succeed, whatever their talents and abilities. It’s always been that way at Box Hill, wherever you are in the school, but particularly in the Sixth Form where everyone is encouraged, nurtured and guided to explore and develop their individual talents alongside their academic capabilities and performance.
And that’s why we’re so excited about the prospect of offering our Sixth Form students the International Baccalaureate Diploma instead of A levels as preparation for their lives after school and in particular, University - more and more of them recognise the ‘independent learning qualities’ shown by IB Diploma applicants.
The IB Diploma is itself a positive attitude to learning; encouraging students to ask challenging questions, to critically reflect, to develop research skills, and to learn how to learn. Like the International Baccalaureate Organisation, Box Hill School, encourages exploration and community service as well as academic achievement in order that the students get the most from their time with us. Which is probably why the school has grown considerably recently and is in the middle of an ambitious and exciting development programme - the new dining hall (just opened) is the latest project to complete and we’re gearing up for our Jubilee Celebrations in 2009. There’s never been a better time to think about Box Hill School, so please, give us a call.
