Minibus Driver

School Minibus Driver – September 2025

The school wishes to recruit a permanent Minibus Driver to pick up and drop off students from designated points from Monday to Friday during term time (34 weeks/year).

Pick up from

  • 6.30am to 8.30am

Drop off.

  • 4.30pm to 6.30pm

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work additional Wednesday afternoons during term time.

Licence/Certification: D1 licence (required)

  • Transporting Box Hill School students during term time to and from school using designated pick up and drop off points, taking into consideration the comfort and welfare of individuals to ensure safe arrival at destinations.
  • Attend all in-house Inset days and relevant external training courses, as agreed with the Transport Manager
  • Practice and comply with all aspects of Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and Box Hill School’s current Health and Safety policies.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks from time to time at the Transport Manager’s request, as may be deemed appropriate within the scope of the post.
  • Logging mileage of designated school bus, on log sheets daily. Deliver full weeks’ log to Transport Manager Pigeon Hole (Staff Room) Termly.
  • Report to the Transport Manager any vehicle maintenance required, any damage to vehicle, and monitor tread on vehicle tyres. Refuelling bus as and when required / tyre pressure check.
  • Ensuring bus is clean from rubbish. Report any student misbehaviour or urgent problems to the Transport Manager. Professional Standards:
  • Support the aims and ethos of the school.
  • Treat all members of the school community with respect and consideration. Attend all staff meetings and Inset days.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contact. Take responsibility for matters relating to health and safety.
  • You may also be required to undertake such other comparable duties as your line manager requires from time to time

Expected hours: 20 per week

Peripatetic/Visiting Music Teachers

Peripatetic/Visiting Music Teachers

We are looking for highly motivated and committed music educators, specialising in the following instruments to join our inspirational peripatetic music team at Box Hill School:

  • Saxophone – immediate start
  • Cello – immediate start

The roles would be under a Consultancy Agreement with a self-employed status as a Visiting Music Teacher (VMT).

The ideal candidates will be able to:

  • Teach pupils to a high standard in their area of musical expertise.
  • Teach students individually and in ensembles if required.
  • Inspire young people with a love of learning and making music.
  • Involve young people in planning how they want to learn and make music inclusive of examination preparation upon request.
